Speaker 1:

I'm continuing to document the journey of creating this one found worthy Christmas musical that we're putting on here in December. And we're in process, full swing. Rehearsals are about to start, production fundraising, the whole nine yards. And this thought came to me when God asks you to do something, you should not expect it to be easy, but you should expect his grace to be sufficient in the midst of it. And I know some people might have like a problem with that, that statement of oh, that's not my God, you know he's a good God, which I love that and I agree with that, and I'm not saying that that's not true. You know he's, he's a good God, which I love that and I agree with that, and I'm not saying that that's not true, and I know this can sound contrary to that, but I don't think it's contrary to that.

Speaker 1:

I think that who God is, who the Bible shows God to be, not what culture or maybe a lot of like books or theology in this modern era would say is true. You can't just pick one aspect of God and say that's my God, I'm not going to, you know, have the rest of who he is, because even like when you look at the life of Jesus. I mean you know God in the flesh, not just the cross even like, even just more of his life. It wasn't very easy. It wasn't very easy. And then obviously, the cross was was not easy either. And we're called to pick up our cross daily and follow him. And so, whether you're doing a project, whether it's with family stuff, whether it's with money stuff, whatever it is, don't lean into negativity and say, oh, it's just going to be horrible. And you know why would I follow God if it's just going to be horrible? Anyway, he's supposed to make my life better. He does make our life way better. So we don't lean into negativity, but we're aware of the process that God is in, he's taking us through if we say yes to him and if we submit to him, because he says, if you lose your life for my sake, you'll actually find it in the end. And so this isn't unto morbidness or like let's just all suffer for Jesus and give each other high fives and our suffering. I want things to go well. I pray for things to go well. I pray for some of you guys might not like this Favor blessing increase in my life all the time. I didn't do that for years I grew up with a very, very different mentality, that that was kind of like bad or whatever. Anything, if you lean too heavily one way or another can become bad or unhelpful. But this statement, if God calls you to something, it doesn't mean it's going to be easy, but it doesn't mean his grace will be sufficient in the midst of it. So maybe God's asked you to do something and you started to press, go on it and it got like really, really hard and you're like, yeah, this can't be God, I'm gonna throw in the towel Right With this Christmas production.

Speaker 1:

You know, snags are a part of the, a part of the process and, uh, you know, wrapping up, we did three movies in three years. Um, definitely saw that to be the case. That man there was. There was a lot, a lot of beauty, a lot of awesome times in there, but there was also a lot of like um, challenging times where, literally, if it wasn't for his grace in the midst of weakness, like um, yeah, I'm not sure what would have, what would have happened to us, really low. So, anyway, hope this is encouraging to you. Stay tuned. We are plugging away here.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, uh, first rehearsal is, uh, this Wednesday. I said it wrong. It's this. No, yeah, this is yeah. This upcoming Wednesday is our first rehearsal. Getting said it wrong. It's this. No, yeah, this is yeah. This upcoming Wednesday is our first rehearsal getting the cast together. Super excited for all of us to, to, to be together and production is in full swing. Visuals are being created, music's being created, cues are being created, lighting cues are being created and money is being raised and the Lord's grace is sufficient in the midst of all of it and it's going to be incredible, even though some days it may not seem incredible.

Speaker 1:

Perspective is everything and expectations are everything. And you know they say, like relationships. You know expectations can like kill relationships, right, if you just expect like, oh, my friend or, you know, my kid or my spouse or my uncle or whoever it is like it's just going to, and you know that's not, that's not how it is. Like expectations can kill. Again, not that you lean into negativity, not that you like look for negativity, but you just have to have that perspective. That's, that's pure and that's right.

Speaker 1:

And then another thing too, like, you know, uh, comparison looking at other people. I talked about this in a video recently. When you look at someone else and you see, this thing they're producing doesn't matter how big or how small it is, this thing they're producing doesn't matter how big or how small it is. It's so easy to think like they just have it easy and I'm the only one right who who has issues or doesn't have this or has lack whatever? And that's just not the case.

Speaker 1:

Like, the more you talk to people in your life, you'll be shocked at how even someone in like the public eye, who has notoriety, who has a lot of people around them, who have influence or whatever, how, even in the midst of that, it can just be so lonely and you can feel so desperate at so many different times and all you have left is to lean upon Jesus.

Speaker 1:

All you have left is lean upon him and that's what I'm doing today, that's what I encourage you to do today. With whatever pain, point, struggle you're facing in your family, in your business, in your money, in whatever it is, in your loss or lack, just know that he is close. His grace is sufficient, and set your eyes upon him today, because he's not far away and he never leaves us, he never forsakes us.
